Empatica monitoe

Posted by baa @baa, 1 day ago

I have nocturnal tonic clonic. I can not wake up from. I live alone. I notified Empatica I need the embrace bracelet that would notify daughter 75 miles away so she could get EMS here. The info they sent said bracelet only notified 15 miles away. What am I missing?

I think you're very wise trying to secure one of these devices especially with nocturnal seizures that aren't fully controlled. They do have long distance devices where no distance is a problem. Provided there is a connection. I believe your phone needs to be near you or in the same room although I'm not sure if that's for the long distance devices or the Bluetooth devices. I'm not into technology much so you might go to a medical supply store or call the Epilepsy Foundation

Would a neighbor or friend be willing to help?
I believe this may meet your needs,

Thanks Jake. I’ve been off here for a while. I have a daughter living next door but will be moving away soon. It needs to be able to notify her so she can call EMS. I don’t have a friend or neighbor I can ask to do that for me. I will keep trying to get info as this is scary since I live alone.
Thanks for your help and hope things get better for you.

If you are unable to find something to help, pay a visit to your local fire station and ask them for suggestions. I wouldn't do it over the phone. I would go in person, you never know, they might surprise you.

Thank you. The fire department is in my neighborhood. I will try and get some feedback from them
