Dry Eye disease

Has any one done IPL to help the eyes?

I had it done last fall and used the 4-visit package that the eye clinic offered for $2,100. (I spend a lot of time outside, so I needed to go when there was no chance of getting sunburnt - the IPL can raise the chances of burning or cause burning) I am extremely sensitive to bright light, so that made my eyes water even with the eye protectors in place. Different levels of pain depend on the area being treated - the thinner the skin the greater the pain. (I was told by the technician that some people leave before their session is over due to the pain) The good thing is, that the pain stops when the light goes out.
It helped but didn't cure it. There's a need to do maintenance treatments and use Rx eye drops, as well as over-the-counter eye drops and overnight ointment. It is expensive, but I found some relief!
Hope this helps,
