Does anyone regret getting a lung transplant?
My husband had Covid a year ago that resulted in pulmonary fibrosis in the bottom third of both lungs. Despite being on prednisone and cell crept, he still has a lot of inflammation in both lungs with only 33% lung function. We saw a new pulmonologist today who also mentioned a lung transplant. M husband will be 70 in a few days and also has insulin depended diabetes. It seems to me that lung transplant surgery is an awful ordeal to go through. For those of you who have gone the transplant process, was it worth it? Did your quality of life improve that much?
