I have been up for 3 hours and have already had 6 episodes of "Flushing".

Keep a cold bottle of water beside your bed.
Put a cold wash cloth on the back of your neck.
Keep your house a couple degrees cooler if possible.
Keep a spray bottle of water on the counter and spray your face when the flushing starts.
Don't laugh: Stick your head in the freezer for just a few seconds to cool down quickly.
Avoid foods that can cause flushing such as hot peppers.
Don't overload yourself with covers at night.
Splash cold water on your face when you have the flushing or take a tepid shower or bath to cool down.
Avoid excessive time out in the humid hot weather.

Mine finally went away after having had COVID, but, it took a while. It was hard to cool down. Praying this ends soon for you. Blessings....

I feel for you. I have sweats and flushing at the same time. It pours off my face and neck. Will just drip and drip. Uhhh. I keep my house at 65 or less. Year round A/C in bedroom. My family freezes. Mine is still going and it’s been years. Hope you see an end to it.

Just had my fourth Long Covid anniversary…

My go-to while sleeping is to grab something metal and position it on the inside of my wrists, particularly across my veins. Metal is typically much cooler than the air. The theory is to cool your veins, thus your blood, which will then be carried quickly through your body. My bed’s headboard has metalwork on it so it’s easily accessible.

Now, I’m post menopausal and was glad for it. Then the Post Covid Flushing ramped up. My (Post Covid Recovery Clinic) doctor prescribed a very low dose of estrogen replacement (.25mg). My flushing has all but ceased. Post complete hysterectomy at 35yo - now 63yo, I thought I was done with all that. But it was worth the try. And it worked for me.

It’s only one of my multiple symptoms, but it’s amazing how eliminating or reducing one symptom helps you feel so much better. Best blessings for complete recovery!
