Does anyone have a change in sputum to thick and creamy?

Since I have been having increasing SOB over recent months I have noticed that my sputum has changed to more thick and creamy, harder to remove. I must drink more water...but wondering if the about to be diagnosis of ILD has something to do with that?

Any thoughts please? Thank you so much.
