Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?

I've pretty changed to using nothing but slip-on shoes. My favorite is Sketchers and my oldest pair becomes my house slipper. I have been debating on buying a fur lined or cushioned moccasin to wear inside the house. What kind of slipper are you currently using?

Hi there, I am also a Sketchers fan.....the slip-on kind with fake shoelaces. They also come in wide-width which I need. I have fat feet......which my mother says was from running around with the cows. She also accused me of "peeing" in the pastures just like the cows did.

Hello, John, @johnbishop, @solobeee, @gitti, and everyone...I'm at a place that my feet and legs must be comfy and give me the best support, or I can't walk. I can't and shouldn't walk barefooted! Probably none of us should since our feet and legs, whatever, are often numb and we can harm them easily. Right?

Well, this is a tough transition for me, since as a Southern girl we often were barefoot. Now, I've broken several toes, damaged toe-nails and fallen all caused by barefoot walking up and down stairs, stumbling on thresholds, etc. I have an infected toe now, for a few months, that's not healing well and may involve the bone, due to damage from no shoes.

So, not for you possibly, John, I now wear 'ballet' type slippers all the time I'm home. Always. Slip-ons tend to slip off or make me stumble/fall. I have some lined for cooler days, extra softness. I need to feel the floor to help w/balance allow my toes to work some. These slippers have leather soles, soft on inside, easily put on and off and don't fight when my feet swell. 'Smoothies'...I get the sparkly, glitter or funky ones....

I wear the same design shoe for daily wear, since they fit my feet/arch/instep/heels/toes best. That limits my choices. They must be light, no-tie or velcro, no tennis style/walkers, graduated sole for balance - no heels, no flats, just an inch or 1 1/2 incline. Since my feet swell, shoes have to be flexible. And, again, that helps with walking and balance.

It's a lot to weave together into the right shoe. Only Sketchers now, lightweight slip-ons with excellent cool soft suppot inside. I did just buy a pair of Cole Haan leather sandles, ZeroGrand....love them. Light, good structure for me. And, a pair of slip-ons, ZeroGrand Cole Haan. Big sale...Berkinstocks and those kinds of shoes are out for me now. Feet are too bad, and legs and back. Too hard. Rockport, Ecco, Clogs of all types used to be good...not now.

So, there you go. All about feet.....just got some lotion from doc visit re infected toe and like it. Prescription, so will see. Still want to get frankensense and myrr and lavender for my feet. Chris @artscaping suggested those, maybe???

@artscaping Did you? Pee with the cows? Makes some sense for a little girl having fun in the pastures.....I wasn't wise enough to do that! Had horses when lived in NC as a child. Not the same, mountains, woods not pastures, and horses....You must have given your mother a fun run, Chris. @ess77 Hi Elizabeth, My oldest pair of Sketchers slip-ons act as my daily go-to slippers. Easy on and off and very comfortable.

I get Dr Comfort from VA for at least 10 years.. Look it up a their web sight. Not too expensive. Highly used by diabetics too.

A friend recently recommended KURU shoes (kurufootwear.com). They seem to be for foot pain especially.
