Dizziness
I have been on this site for many years now and have often posted about my problem. But, I am interested in others experience and recommendations. I got COVID in 2020 before the vaccine was available. I began to get dizzy to the point of requiring a walker to be mobil. Here it is 6+ years later and I am still stuck on this walker. I can't stand without some support. I have been to numerous neurologists, physical therapist, GP's etc with no change. I am trying a course now with Dr. Yonit Arthur, but have just gotten started. What do others recommend or what have been your successful experiences?

Have you been to an ENT? There is a condition where your ear crystals become loose and have to be repositioned. I had this happen after a fall. Physical therapists do a maneuver called the Epley Maneuver and it will clear that up. It has not totally resolved the Covid dizziness which I still have, but it is worth trying since getting rid of any amount of dizziness is worth it. Before the Epley Maneuver, I couldn't turn over in bed without the entire room spinning.

1 ReactionI have dizziness, although not as severe as yours. I first ruled out POTS (heart rate jump ) and Orthostatic hypotension (Blood pressure drop) which are pretty common for long Covid, Now I am headed to the ENT to test for vestibular issues – that is a disconnect between where your eyes and your body sense where you are an in space, which causes dizziness. This is a separate but important issue the ENT can check. Another thing they should check for is Meniere’s disease, which can also cause dizziness and vertigo.

I have been tested 3 times for these diseases by ENT's. I went to 4 different doctors at Cleveland Clinic and in Indianapolis and nothing was noted as being wrong. I got tested for Meniere's and the results were negative. I have been struggling for over 6 years now and am looking for some different treatments. I am very sympathetic with your case since I know how debilitating it can be. I was diagnosed with PPPD and am working on treatment for this problem. Thanks for the replay.
