Distilled water
I have MAC and am wondering if I still need to boil my drinking water that comes out of my home water distiller since distilled water is basically the steam that comes off of water that is boiled?

Here is a link to the test I ordered!
Thank you so much and I just ordered it. I know they say it takes 6 weeks but did you already get your results back? Just curious if it comes back negative then is it safe to go back using filtered water from my frig, etc?
I tested specifically for mycobacterium.
If you test your refrigerator water specifically, yes. Remember the NTM resides in the plumbing as well as possibly being in the water.
If the tap water tests safe, it would be best to pour the tap water into a frequently, thoroughly cleaned pitcher and store it in the refrigerator. Plastic tubing is notorious for harboring biofilm where bugs can grow.

Thank you so much!
We used it as well
I ordered mine this week too so I’m not sure about the turn-around time. Hopefully it’s quick!
I am not taking any changes on tap water. It may test o.k today and not be o.k. tomorrow. I also do not use water from my frig nor ice from my frig or any ice unless it is from my filtered and boiled water.
I have a Zero plastic container and. use Zero filters. A filer will last me about 3 or 4 weeks. After filtering the water to get out all the particles, then I pressure it in my InstantPot for 14 minutes. That is more than necessary because I am almost at sea level. The Zero Filter comes with a meter to measure the particles before and after. It is amazing!! it tells you when to replace your filter. I start checking my water after filtering in about 3 weeks after putting in a new filter. I change when the ppm is 10.
It is a production to get use to but it is just part of my daily routine and has become simple with the Instant Pot. and a large 2 gallon ceramic jug with a faucet on it.
I average using 2 or 3 gallons a day.
That is a good point, water is safe today, it may not be safe tomorrow since mycobacterium is every where. I heard that many people say boiling water for 10 minutes is safe to drink and I have been doing this. Does anyone know where the source is?
Many thanks in advance!
