Diltiazem SR 120 SIDE EFFECTS

Has anybody ever gave you any information, any help on dealing with the side effects of diltiazem SR 120? Thank you

@merrychristmas neck pain, throat pain, swollen vocal cords, what have you experienced and what was done about it? Thank you, the doctor told me it was take the medicine or go back into AFib, I need to have a dental extraction, but I sure do hate stopping the blood thinner just to get my teeth pulled but it's getting pretty bad

Paying attention to your teeth is important. I had ankle edema and pain from that they switch to another statins . In the mean time I broke my femur and was in so much pain from statin and fracture that I couldn’t stand it. They took me off the statin.

@merrychristmas have you ever taken the medication I was talking about diltiazem sr120?ever had side effects like your throat was sore and swelling up,,?

Yes I took a calcium channel blocker. I did not get any of the side effects as you had . I just got ankle edema .

You can change statins I cannot take Crestor but am on Lipitor low dose doing great. I could not walk far on Crestor not even the half a block from hospital where I worked to my parked car in the lot. 72 hours later felt much better.

@cris49 thank you for the information, I'm not taking statins, I am taking calcium channel blockers, for my heart and I need to speak to someone specifically that has taken that medicine

@cris49 I have been on both . Side effects were too much

@normanchester I have been on diltiazem ER 120 for probably 5 years and have never had any side effects.
