Difficulty swallowing.

Has anyone had difficulty swallowing while taking Camzyos? I started noticing this the last couple of days, and I’ve noticed some small red bumps on my chest and stomach, and have started being a little itchy. I feel like I may be having an allergic reaction to the medication. It feels like my throat is closing up when I try to swallow, and my mouth feels dry. I noticed this again this morning while laying in bed. I have an echo scheduled for tomorrow at Emory in Atlanta, but I’ve already decided that I’m going to have surgery instead of continuing Camzyos. I told my cardiologist’s nurse yesterday. I guess I’ll call them this early this morning and let them know about these symptoms. I’m sure they’ll probably going to recommend an ER visit.

I know nothing about Camzyos so I plugged this into AI

Difficulty swallowing (dysphagia or throat closing sensation), dry mouth, small red bumps on chest/stomach, and itching—directly matches warnings for allergic reactions or angioedema-like effects

Your symptoms align closely with signs of a possible allergic reaction to Camzyos, and you should seek medical attention promptly—do not wait.

Contact your doctor, cardiologist, or go to urgent care/ER right away, especially with the throat symptoms (this could indicate swelling that affects breathing). Allergic reactions can worsen quickly.
