Difficulties after many TIA's

Posted by cheyne @cheyne, May 1 5:53pm

I Have been experiencing bouts of partial paralysis and lack of body control from the waist down at times. I had 15 TIA's over 3 days about 3 years ago and had thought nothing of it, all test came back clear. But after motivating Neurological specialists to look it now is becoming apparent that my forcing myself to stand and walk has reset the brain into a limp home mode causing it to default to shuffling, falling or temp bouts of paralysis when I'm not consentrating on what I'm doing. Unfortunately it gets worse as I walk because I tend to watch where I'm stepping reinforcing the mind set.
Anybody have experience with this?
Cheers

TIA are very common, that most most of the people do not know, how to really identify them.

Did you experience seizures along w TIAs?
Educate me please. I think, I might have had mini strokes as I call TIAs to be.

Hi,
At the time my vision in the right eye went completely white for a few moments then corrected. This happened 5 time over less than 60 minutes and subsequently the same experience for two more consecutive days. As I understand it the vision can alternatively turn completely black, according to my optimist. Nothing else happened at the time. In passing I mentioned it to my Dr a week later and ended up in ED. Based on my describing the events TIA"s were diagnosed and I was immediately put on blood thinners. Reacting to the blood thinners I stopped them immediately and never thought any more about the experience. Ever since I have been having mobility problems that come and go for no apparent reason. I'm now just starting to get answers as to what on earth is going on with my body.
Currently the thinking is that as a result of the TIA'S, in forcing myself to stand and walk I have reset the brain so that my automatic action is to shuffle, because that is what I did to get walking again. As yet there are no thoughts of why I have moments of temporary paralysis. Whether it is FND or the Autonomic nerve causing this is any bodies guess right now. I'm booked in for another brain scan in case something has changed or they have missed something.
Cheers
