Diagnosed with PD, then antidepressants didn't work
@caluginb
Until I was diagnosed with PD, my depression was well managed with duloxetine (cymbalta). Now nothing seems to work: ketamine, TMS, neurofeedback. Currently on Vraylar (just reduced from 3 mg to 1.5 since it isn't working), Lexapro 20mg (no help). Propranalol for anxiety. Phentermine for dopamine. Every day is torture. I do see a therapist which helps for a few hours. I do not have a tremor!! it's the mental symptoms that are so very hard. I constantly remind myself that my brain is lying to me, I pray, read scriptures, sit on the couch all day. Sleep is the only relief and dread waking up each day to face the same thing. I keep thinking that my doc will find a pill that works. I feel so sorry for you, having to go through this also. God willing, we will find relief soon!!

Hi, @janeebegood - having sleep be your only relief - and dreading awakening - in the midst of depression and a Parkinson's diagnosis is rough.
I moved your post out of the discussion about antidepressants and Parkinson's Disease to its own discussion that is now in the Depression & Anxiety support group as well as in the Parkinson's Disease support group.
I did this so that you can find others who have had similar experiences.
You mentioned you experience anxiety. Are there other symptoms you experience, too, that are contributing to your sense that every day is torture?
