Dealing with stress and anxiety from pacemaker implant

Posted by jasonhowery @jasonhowery, Jun 8, 2023

I was on Zoloft and they added a blood thinner to help from the procedure. The procedure took place a week ago, and the mental aspect is so stressful right now. I have good days and bad and today I looked into my meds, I’m scared of them and afraid I won’t be taken off the blood thinner. The Zoloft was started so I could deal with the procedure. I’m having a rough time dealing with all of this. Any help is appreciated

Don't be afraid of the pacemaker, mine saved my life. It takes a while but you'll actually forget about. Just follow a few simple rules..
If the meds are prescribed, take them. They are doing many things to help you get stronger so you can go back to your normal life. And you can.

Thank you. I’m almost 2 weeks in and some fears are there especially the bleeding aspect of the Zoloft and xarelto combination. The incision area is a little bothersome but I know it takes time. I think that is what keeps the memory fresh. But I’ve been exercising every day for the last nine days and using guided meditation from headspace app which is helpful. Thank you for sharing, it’s appreciated.
