Crazy over production of secretion.
Ok, please be patient with me, I’m new to this. So I have Auto Immune Diseases: Hashimotos, Thyroid Disease, Fibromyalgia, Severe Osteoarthritis and Degenerative Joint Disease, Spinal Stenosis. I also have problems with my eyes ( Retina ) Uveitis Parsplanitis . I used to get real bad Egzema, but now I get dry scaly silvery patches that don’t itch, don’t know what it is. Oh diabetes but not full blown, was always borderline, but during COVID I developed it. It’s under control.
So…for the last maybe 3-4 years my body started producing something from my head to toes, even in my ears, nose mouth and vagina. It also makes my skin look darker, almost like dirt and nothing but alcohol can remove the dark color/spots. But, the other part of this is, it is like rubbery, sticky but not sticky, and I can peel it off my body ( for some reason my right pointer finger can feel it and remove it. Depending where on my body it is, it can have different textures, such as slimy, gritty and rubbery/sticky. I call it “ Stretch Armstrong “ like the toy you can pull and pull and it won’t tear , but I manage to tear it. Lately it is producing much more faster and really builds up, and even messes with my circulation, especially hands and feet. My dermatologist told me that my body is producing extra Keratin, but my nails and hair are worst than ever. She also said that the dark colors on my skin is called “ Tierra Firme something “, also known as Duncan’s Dirty Disease . It can produce so much that my face can look non asymmetrical and warped. Also makes my ears bigger and my lobes fatter ( I now have to wear clip on earrings. This last dermatologist tried telling me it’s all in my head, and I was VERY OFFENDED I started crying. Oh, it doesn’t have a color or smell, it just clings on to my skin.
Well this is all for now, I’m really tired. Oh, I suffer from chronic fatigue and pain. y. I have a pain pump implanted in my lower back. Not to mention depression and some anxiety.

ardithr, "it's all in your head" is 'medical jargon' meaning the too-painful-to-admit "I don't know."
You really are besieged. It would give anyone fatigue.

1 Reaction@ardithr: May I suggest seeking a second opinion from another dermatologist, preferably at a university clinic?
One possible explanation could be Terra firma-forme dermatosis or Dermatitis neglecta. Another possibility to consider is a fungal or yeast infection.
During COVID, I experienced something somewhat similar that was not recognized by a dermatologist, but was later diagnosed as Petechiae by a rheumatologist.
Good luck.
