Spinal compression fracture: What helps with the pain?
I've been living with an compression fracture nearly five years, I have had numerous injections in the back from 3 different pain clinics including Mayo Clinic. Is anyone else living with this pain? Nothing has helped. I take Tramadol once a day, does not help much, if I take more I feel nauseous and can't eat. Has anyone found something to help with pain?

Insurance only allows dexa scans every 2 years. Just had one last in November.
Hi
Wow even if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis. I am in canada 🇨🇦. I get one every year since going on reclast
If you’re on Medicare, insurance will pay for a Dexa more often as long as you meet certain conditions. Check the Medicare handbook. Your physician just needs to write a letter describing your condition. For example, I had compression fractures L1 & L3 plus I’d been taking medication for osteoporosis and switched medications.

@sue417 You are dealing with a lot with your fractures. My elderly mom went through this because of osteoporosis. It’s best to ask your doctor about supplements. I am a spine surgery patient and was told not to take turmeric because it reduces inflammation and can interfere with bone healing. Inflammation is part of the healing process that starts laying down new bone.
Hi
It's been a lot, Thanks .I can't take turmeric.
I just take tylenol arthritis. I have been bisphosphonate for 3 yrs. I am starting forteo a bone builder for 24 mths. Injections everyday. Hopefully I don't have a reaction to it.
