Complex and common syst

I have had an ultrasound and was diagnosed to have a complex syst 2.2 cm in size on my left kidney and several other common cyst on my right kidney was wondering if this is something I really need to be worried about and seek treatment or is this something i should just monitor

You should ask the provider who ordered the ultrasounds &/or the provider who reviewed the ultrasounds. Why were the ultrasounds ordered in the first place? Do you have problems with labs? Do you have symptoms?

Have just had chronic kidney disease most of my life and low kidney function but have never had systemic show up before

Not sure what you mean by “systemic”.

You need to see a nephrologist who will explain or a surgeon who works with kidney disease. I was diagnosed with 3 cysts on one of my kids and two on the other 10years ago and I was in End Stage CKD already. I'm still alive. They decided that the cysts were not cancerous.

Hello, you had 3 cysts on one kidney and 2 on the other, you didn’t have to have any of them removed. I had a cyst on 1 kidney that was being watched over several years and the Urologist said it was a complex cyst that was getting too big it had to be removed.

Yes I my left kidney was removed Dec 2024. At this moment I am doing good not having any issues. Living my life and still working full time. Thanking God everyday that my cyst was not cancerous.

@natelew, how big were the cysts?

Hello,
It was a Bosniak 3 with a size of 9.2x7.7x7.9cm. It was a cystic lesion. I have the 1 kidney so hopefully with further changes to my diet and lifestyle I should be fine.
