Anyone else diagnosed with CML after breast cancer radiation?

Hi @12hannah, I'm tagging fellow members @suetex @meme5 @dogmom23 as they may have some experience or thoughts about radiation-induced leukemia.

Hannah, how long ago did you have radiation for breast cancer? Is the diagnosis for chronic lymphacytic leukemia a recent diagnosis? What treatment will you have?

I am very interested in your answer as I also have MDS and my monocyte count is all over the place. I have had radiation twice (one for 25 sessions, and another for 20). Hard to imagine that as benign.

I had 15 radiation treats this year in February. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer with 3 lumpectomies then the radiation. In July diagnosed with Philadelphia positive Chromosome Chronic Myeloid Leukemia after my yearly Medicare exam. Now I take Gleevec once a day along with Amit nausea meds and an estrogen blocker since my breast care was estrogen fed . The side effects suck but my labs are slowly getting better.
