Clonazepam

I am 80 years old. My psychiatrist would like me to taper off Clonazepam 0.5 MG (Klonopin). I take it daily, and have been about 6-years. What is the safest way to taper?

That’s a question for your psychiatrist if you have one. Medical doctors don’t seem to understand what Clonazapan can do to a person.

Given the low dosage your taking I don’t even know if they make a dose smaller than 0.5 mg but only your doctor knows
I’m on 0.5 every morning and a 1 mg dose at 4 PM. I’m not sure why I take a 1 mg dose at 4:00. I don’t have much anxiety anymore but that maybe attributable to the klonopin.

But I also take 300 mg of Wellbutrin in the morning and 200 mg of seroquel at bedtime plus 150 mg of lamictal at bedtime too. I sleep like a baby though
