Celiac Artery Aneurysm: Anyone else with same illness?
Hello! I was recently diagnosis with a celiac artery aneurysm in June 2016. I underwent a embolization w/ coils procedure since the aneurysm had grown while in the hospital. I was trying to reach out to someone who suffered the same illness but have not been lucky. I would like to locate someone with my same illness. I would appreciate any help. Thank you

I am worried alot too. The first one was dissecting and immediate surgery. This time by the time I see the surgeon it will have been 3 weeks. I am told that is fast. I agree with you that when your stomach hurts you worry. My stomach has hurt since before the first diagnosis and now that i have a second one (which i was told i would be good and never have to worry about it again!) I am so worried. So stressed over it. I dont know whether to wish for surgery (where recovery was so terrible that I told people if I had to do it again...I probably wouldn't have surgery!!) Or to wish for the wait and see approach 'where I will live in constant worry as to be active or not. I was 46 when I had my first one and now I am 55 which might make it more risky for me.
I am sorry that you are so young and have to deal with this.
Hello! Thanks for telling your story. I hope all is well. My aneurism was embolized in 2016. I am still worried it can reoccur. My stress is constant. I'm in my 40s. I was always active but now I'm scared of doing any activity to my abdominal area. My doctor sees me once a year but she too has no experience with the diagnosis. I take it day by day but once I feel pain on my right side I'm reminded of it.
Hi! I hope all goes well for you. I didn't know they did the "watch and see" with any dissecting anuerisym. How do you hande the waiting? I guess because I had to have immediate surgery the first time that it causes me apprehension while I wait on them for answers.
@ewillard
Working is a good thing as well as games and cleaning👍
I hope your follow up comes with good results!
I have to work and when I get home we are planning our next moves...everyone is on edge so emotions are touchy. My sons live in different states and want to come before surgery along with a couple of my siblings who live a long distance away.
Been playing dice games but most I have been cleaning because when I stress out I cant sit still.
I can't do the keto because I have Issues with fats. My doctor just recommended low FODmap so when I am done with If or if not I am doing surgery then I will try that.

I appreciate your kind comments to me. Later this month I'll have a follow-up exam to check on the tumor status.
I've found that keeping active both physically and mentally helps with anxiety during times of waiting. What plans do you have for getting through this waiting mode? Do you have any hobbies or activities that will help you to keep from worrying?
Yes... For me the Keto diet helps a lot. I have to follow it very closely. Reduces inflammation. I have a lot of right rib and waist pain.
I, too, believe I will be in good hands. I will let you know any updates. 🙂
Hi. Thank you. That is exactly how it feels! I am in a waiting mode and that isnt good either. I will keep you updated when I know more.
I am sorry that you struggle with an illness and it reoccurring. That is terrible. I hope that you are getting anseets/treatment that help as resolve your issues.
