Celiac Artery Aneurysm: Anyone else with same illness?
Hello! I was recently diagnosis with a celiac artery aneurysm in June 2016. I underwent a embolization w/ coils procedure since the aneurysm had grown while in the hospital. I was trying to reach out to someone who suffered the same illness but have not been lucky. I would like to locate someone with my same illness. I would appreciate any help. Thank you

I know this is an old thread but my husband has this problem which was found/ noted in his x-ray report when he was having another bout with kidney stones in 2010. It was 1.4 cm then. I haven't checked the other times he has had this same problem - kidney stones in the last 10 years but the x-ray for the ones they found last month (Dec 2019) again showed the same celiac artery aneurysm only it is now 1.9 cm. After pointing this out to his urologist I was told it had to go back to his "main" doctor for referral. Went back to that doctor only to be referred to a gastroenterologist!. I'm trying to see what type of specialists/doctors anyone else was sent to. I have a gastroenterologist but I have mild celiac along with other issues that a gastro guy handles. Never heard of one of them handling this type of health problem. I thought the referral should be to a vascular specialist. Can you or anyone else give me the specialties your doctors were in?
I too have a celiac artery compression
Not sure if it is a tangle of nerves compressing it or a ligament from my diaphragm )MALS). There is a 9 m mlm aneurysm beyond the compression
I have no pain at all . I do have factor Leiden V heterogenous, which means i have a propensity to form blood clots. I have two other arteries that leave the abdominal Ao
rta: renal and lower iliac which boyh have significant stenosis with thrombus. I just comleted surgery for clots in my femoral artery. Blood from the artery filled my abdominsl cavity. I was awake because m bp kept tanking and they could not give me anesthesia. I was in exteme pain my foot and leg started swelling and i lost all feeling in my foot. I was freezing cold and at one point mu haglobin was 4. Finally my bp went up enough and i was given something and my cardiologist inserted two stents. Ivwoke up with swelling going down and could wiggle my toes. My abdomen still hurt.i do not have any pail that MALS patients ha e and do not know why i don't. I wish you all well with your surgeries. I was 5 minutes away from a total leg amputatio.
Yes! Bloating, gas, urgency to get to a bathroom. Horrible. Dr. Koufman's book Drop Acid (Amazon) has been a huge help. A tsp. of honey has surprisingly helped with bloating and gas. If I veer off the foods in this book, which was recommended by my doctor, I l'll pay with a big digestive upheaval that will take me a few days to stabilize. Good luck to you finding what works best for your personal health situation. Before my celiac aneurysm arrived, I never had any of these issues. 😳🙄
I find that a probiotic daily similar to an over the counter "Saccharomyces Boulardii" works for me in mitigating gas and diarrhea...and that urgent necessity..
Has anyone else after having a stent in the celiac artery still has digestive issues? I still have bloating and certain foods irritate my digestion which leads to issues. UGH!
I’m not sure. I go to a cardiologist on the 30th. I live in North Mississippi. It was found while doing a ct scan of my renal arteries. Luckily the renal arteries are fine.
Yes a stent but they will do also a bipass have a open Surgery 30, of january
Sure. Will you be getting a stent? Where do you live?
