Anyone tried CBD oil or medical marijuana for PMR?

I had such a bad day yesterday that I sent a note to my doctor about upping my prednisone (currently on 6 mg). Then I wondered, has anyone tried CBD oil or medical marijuana for PMR….

All of the above replies were helpful, thank you. Since I only started Methotrexate about 6 weeks ago I've decided to wait and give it a chance without the CBD so I could tell if it was working or not. My stomach is also very sensitive to medications as I tend to get nauseous easily so I don't want to start any problems if I can avoid them. Thank you all again.

There are mixed reviews on CBD but with THC (MJ) many are finding relief from pain of all sorts.
I'd certainly take it over steroids, RA drugs, any of the stuff the docs offer.
Another possibility to look at, and many docs are finally endorsing this, is LDN. Many with PMR are having great success with it. I, too, have a sensitive stomach, which is one reason I try not to take these strong drugs. With LDN, some find Avicel, an ingredient in the capsule upsets their stomach. You can get capsules made of sugar and other materials though. Here is a wonderful site to look into for LDN. Very helpful, great people and info.

I tried CBD and THC and it worked with the pain, but I am so sensitive to slow reaction time due to THC that I can't take it. The problem with CBD is it is contaminated with THC and for many people that is fine, but for me the slow reaction time was still noticeable and I could not take it and react normally. I got slow reactions like I was drunk.
