Does CBD oil help you with your depression and/or anxiety?

Posted by lalyfa @lalyfa, Feb 24, 2018

I am curious to know if anyone has had success with CBD or Hemp oil helping with depression/anxiety? I’ve been reading a lot about it and am curious.
I've been reading about this and am very interested but would like thoughts/opinions from anyone who has actually tried it or knows someone who has. TIA

Thank you,
Laura

I live in San Francisco and have checked with all the dispensaries and none of them ever hears of CBD LIVING WATER. Where can you buy this? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

There are many references on Mayo clinic Connect from people who have used it for depression and anxiety etc. Google it, Living Water CBD.

I so hoped a Sativa medical cannabis would calm my Fibro pain without extreme daytime sleepiness but thus far I get so sleepy my eyes won’t stay open, even with the least amt I can possibly take.

It helps me unwind and helps me sleep longer.

It works for me also. Either straight cbd, I use a mint, not oil, and sometimes I use a kind that has a small bit of THC in it. I feel very comfortable with it

Dear lalyfa,
I have tried CBD gummies (from a safe, good, and known store in San Antonio). The reason for me to try them was the suggestion from a very good friend who knew I was going through a period with very little sleep. "My dad slept as a baby after using this one". I buy the exact same one. Now I am looking forward to finally getting to sleep. But no! I have never used drugs in my life, but this experience (my first and surely my last one) is the closest I suppose I can come to having used one! Or, also, I could say that it was maybe the same reaction as if I had been terribly sick because of alcohol. I see double, literally, and I feel terrible. So, no, I would NEVER use CBD gummies again. But her father was- and is still using the same ones with success. So, I think, this experience one more time proves that we human beings are different, and that we react differently to the exact same medicines and/or remedies.

I live in California where Marijuana is legal. The brand I use is called CBD Living Water. You may need a Marijuana prescription depending on the state you live in. You can Google the brand name and find out about it.

I buy water from a company called CBD Life Water. Depending on the state you live in, you could need a prescription for marijuana. You can look up the brand name on Google to learn more.

@gailb, where did you purchase the CBD. I also have been curious about the product, but there are lots of sellers on Amazon, but I hate to purchase a supplement that I don't know anything about the seller. Most of them you can find some pretty good lists of sellers that have good reputations. If you could give a brand name that you used and liked, I would appreciate it. If that is something that needs to be a PM, that will be fine. Thank you, Gary

I like Hennepen's CBD capsules. Help moderate anxiety and depression. I take two every day. It enhances the effect of my antidepressant, Sertraline. Also, L-theanine (4 capsules) is great against both anxiety and depression.

this is exactly the reason I want to look into the CBD. I don't want to go through these withdrawal symptoms again! If I find myself needing to return to the meds, I will taper off much more slowly when the time comes.

CBD "takes the edge off " for me and is quite useful. You might want to look into small doses of THC if legal in your state. THC is legal in Maryland under medical supervision.

I've been using CBD for over four years now and don't believe it to be addictive. With THC, I'm not sure. Side effects are minimal if used in small doses.
