After first success in Lupus other autoimmune diseases were included in CAR-T clinical trials, like systemic sclerosis and scleroderma, PMR, Myositis.

The studies are still ongoing at the University of Michigan Dr. Khanna, Rutgers University RWJ Health Dr. Vivian Sue in New Brunswick NJ, Morristown Medical Center Dr. Cherry in Morristown, NJ, many other sites in the US.

@altabiznet I am hating difficulty qualifying for a clinical trial because I have multiple autoimmune diseases. Do you have any advice?

Unfortunately, these exclusion criteria are common to clinical trials. CAR-T treatments are not currently available outside of clinical trials, but many studies are already in Phase II. Another 2 years, and there should be approved CAR-T treatments available.

Talk to your doctor what treatments are currently available to you to make sure that those do not disqualify you from the future CAR-T eligibility.
