caregiver preparing for visit

my teen has their initial visits in Rochester coming up next week. We will be traveling over the weekend. There is a scheduled "Health Information Review by Phone" tomorrow morning (Friday). One one of my first scheduling calls I was told that teen does not need to be present for this call but I have seen no written information stating that since then and I would like to call to confirm. Who do I contact?
Also I have questions relating to billing, insurance, and estimates and I don't know who to contact for help. I'm feeling panicky about this because it looks like for our insurance to cover this we need a referral and I don't have that. I have just over one business day to get something sorted before this long awaited travel and I don't know where to call to get answers.

Call the department he will be visiting and ask to speak to the person who does the Health Info Review. I got a message that I will be having one in Oct for after I've been there. The message was closed to replies.
The main switchboard number is 507-284-2511. Don't waste time with the appt office.

Welcome to Mayo Connect. When I have a "Health Information Review by Phone," it is to review medications and a few other minor questions. Seeing that it is your first visit to Mayo, they may ask extra questions. I suggest that if they are on medication, have them handy so they can tell the caller the name and dosages.

As a previous member mentioned, you can call Mayo's main number to ask quetions or get transfewred to other sections.

Have you downloaded Mayo app? It will help you prepare for appointment. There may be pre-appointmwnt questionairs to fill out. But do not worry if do not have filled out, can do when you check in for first appointemt.
