Can you take olive oil and take medicine Alprazolam 0.5mg to sleep?

Please be careful of alprazolam. My family doctor had me take it for six years for chronic insomnia. I began to develop symptoms of overruse and had to withdraw SLOWLY from the drug. That took four months and was horrible. In the ten months since then the rebound insomnia and cognitive problems just won't stop. I am not alone. There are thousands of Americans suffering from this addictive reaction to benzodiazepines. Alprazolam is one of that drug class. It should be taken for a few weeks only, not for months, and certainly not for years. I had no idea what I was taking and didn't look it up online until far too late. At this point I may never recover. I am in my 70s. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else. Please be careful. Good luck to you. I know how desperate we can be to be able to sleep.
