Can you prevent jaundice if you need to be on mood stabilizers?

My 25 yr. old is bipolar and takes 6 different medications. Yesterday he called to tell me he has jaundice and thinks it's from taking his mood stabilizer meds. I don't know the exact name of those meds.

He went to the ER and they did blood work, urine test and CAT scan of his abdomen and he says everything came back normal. Organs are fine just has some elevated bilirubin levels. They suggested he stop taking one of his medications, stop drinking alcohol for a while and calling his regular doctor for follow up.

He needs his meds. Is there anything else he should be considering?
