Hello @swanny and welcome to Mayo Connect! Please feel free to share a little more of your story, for example how long ago was your surgery? Tell us a bit more about the grunting sounds, where do the sounds originate and how long have you had them? I'm sure here at Mayo Connect there are plenty of people who have had heart surgery similar to yours and might be able to lend some support and information. Mayo Connect is a great support network!
Hope you're doing OK, @swanny, and that your recovery is relatively smooth and positive. As @hopeful33250 indicated, it would be helpful to know a little more about the "grunting" you've experienced. You may find other helpful information in this posting on the Mayo Clinic web site: http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/coronary-bypass-surgery/details/results/rsc-20166148. Further information might be helpful in another posting at Medicinenet: http://www.medicinenet.com/coronary_artery_bypass_graft/article.htm. We'll continue the search for members on this Connect web site with experiences similar to yours. In the meantime, I hope you'll press your medical team for information on the issue. Come back soon to see how we're doing in getting you some information.
Welcome @swanny. Great to see that you've connected with @predictable and @hopeful33250. Like them, I would like to better understand the grunting symptom you mentioned.
I'd like to introduce you to a few members who have had coronary bypass surgery. @thankful @cynaburst @contender1 @retairforceman @ronbee @llecrup @lyndamm did you have any experience with grunting sounds post-op?
No I didn't have anything like that. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? Sometimes I have wheezing sorts of congestion in my lungs. That could be cause for concern.
