Burning nasal passages

Hi,
Any tips for burning nasal passages? I have chronic sinusitis but I thought I had it cracked with daily neti pot rinses but since I had a sore throat it has come back and is sore as I breathe in. Thanks I find all the practical advice in these discussions so helpful.

Hi,
I have a chronic nose sore and have for years. I use Mupirocin by prescription and put it in my nose whenever the sore flares up. It's an antibiotic and really helps. Before I had the Mupirocin, I used over the counter Neosporin for the same problem. Both helped a lot. I hope this is useful.
I wish you the best.

Thank you. @pml . I might give the Neosporin a try. Just being reminded that I am not the only one with medical problems always helps me. All the best to you also.

AYR nasal gel with aloe really helps me. No antibiotics.🤗

Thank you! I actually have AYR and had fallen out of the habit of using it,

Hi, I’ve had a persistent sore for several years now and it drives me crazy. How many times a day and for how many days do you use the antibiotic? Is it just regular Mupirocin 2%? Thank you!

Hi,
The Mupirocin I use is the 2%. I'm supposed to use it 2 times a day but I only use it once a day when the nose sore flares up and usually has a scab on it. However, I will use it 2 times a day if it starts to be sore and hurts. I use it all the time when the sore shows up which is usually in very cold winter weather or if I am in a lot of traffic. I have it as a regular monthly prescription. If you can't get the Mupirocin prescription then Neosporin or something similar does work but it takes longer to heal the sore. I hope things work out for you.
