Brinsupri for treatment of BE

Diagnosed with Bronchiecstasis and Mac about a year ago. My doctors said the we were going to wait to treat the Mac but one wanted to start me on Brinsupri for the BE. While waiting for approval on the Brinsupri we changed my inhaler from Trelegy to Brezpri and now doing a lot better with my breathing. Brinsupri is pretty new on the market and wanted some feedback from anyone who has been using this medication. Thanks in advance!!

I've been in Brinsupri for 10+ months and have gotten relief from excess sputum, I cough less, and consequently I have more energy overall than before starting Brinsupri. I do not have MAC. Before starting the drug, acquaint yourself with possible side effects so you can be on the lookout.

What we have in common is bronchiectasis, but we all have it to varying degrees and with different circumstances. Some people have NTM/MAC, Pseudomonas, or fungal infections, while others have coexisting conditions such as asthma or COPD. In other words, even though we all share a diagnosis of bronchiectasis, each person’s situation is different.

That’s why the response to Brinsupri can be very individual. Some people experience significant benefits, others less so, and some may have side effects while others do not. Brinsupri works by reducing inflammation in the lungs.
