Brinsupri experience after 3+ months
Brinsupri may take 3–6 months to reach full effect.
Please use this thread to share first-hand experiences only if you have been on Brinsupri for 3 months or longer.
To keep this discussion useful and focused, let’s limit comments to actual outcomes, side effects, or changes you’ve observed after at least 3 months of use.

I haven’t been on Brinsupri for long (one month), with no side effects except that I was recently in the hospital with sepsis and pneumonia. When I was there and at home afterwards (where I had to go in to the ER again) I had high blood pressure readings after using my nebulizer treatment (Albuterol )and the medication, Brinsupri both can cause high blood pressures. The pressure subsides about two to three hours afterwards. I’m sure with the pneumonia, my heart is working overtime, thus the higher blood pressure.
Wondering if anyone has had this experience before?

1 Reaction@ainekrech Are you taking prescribed medication for your blood pressure? I'm not using Brinsupri, but another of my meds can alter BP, so my dose had to be adjusted.
Here are a few things to consider and discuss with your pulmonologist:
If you are sensitive to albuterol, perhaps levalbuterol neb will work for you, or an albuterol inhaler would have less effect on your BP.
If you don't also have asthma, perhaps you can nebulize saline without using the bronchodilator at all.
In your shoes, I would address these questions to my doc now via the patient portal or a phone call. I would not wait for my next appointment. Do you have access this way?

1 Reaction@sueinmn Thank you for the information! I am not taking any blood pressure medication.
Since I had pneumonia along with sepis they thought it would be hard on my heart alone. Taking albuterol along with Brinsupri (which can raise blood pressure) they thought its was a "perfect storm."
I will check with my pulmonologist on the levalbuterol nebulizer treatment or the inhaler. I will call tomorrow!
Thank you for the suggestions!
