Breztri Inhaler

Breztri works well for me for several years. I take it in the morning approx. 7 am and then again at 5:30 pm. I do use a spacer with it and found it works better with a spacer.

I have been on Breztri for a couple of years. It is not a rescue medication you may need albbuterol in between doses of Breztri.

Yeah i understand that but definitely can tell im almost do for it again, someone did mention the same thing, breztri gets me through the day and without it i have big issues, i have albuterol and im also on ohtuvayre.

I have the same concerns regarding the actuator & accuracy of medication dispensed! There are times that I feel it has “shorted out” and the full dosage was not administered! I have made several calls to the company & of of course no seemingly deep concern! My next call will be to the FDA HOT LINE! I too use a spacer, but have learned NOT to push the mouth piece up against the spacer, but tilt it ever so slightly away from the spacer. If I feel I did not get an adequate amount I will repeat! I don’t wait a full 12 hours between doses! I take the 1st dose after my two puffs of Albuterol, and a Hyper-Sal treatment so that I know the medication is being absorbed into mucous free tissue!
Have also been know to take an extra hit sometimes on a difficult day! Physician aware, but voiced no concerns!

Oh wow so it happens to you too, i also started using the albuterol first, my cardiologist mentioned that to me when i had my stress test done. I was trying to find out how to notify breztri, i will be calling them on Monday see where that gets me and I’ll contact the FDA hot line if i get no where. I’m glad you told me about your experience too. Someone mentioned it to me a while ago they felt it didn’t last 12 hours. It’s probably something simple they can correct, it did help me big time but just not last month or this month. @suzyq61 I am experiencing the same issue with feeling it doesn't last a full 12 hrs. I am also on Ohtuvayre.

@aggiern I’m waiting to hear from my doctor, looking into another medication because I’m out of breath just walking around my house, I’m guessing he waited to put in my request in January not December, giving a couple more days then reaching out, I just feel he’s not listening to me or there’s something he’s not telling me

@suzyq61 if you are having difficulty walking around the house, I would definitely call your Dr or his NP back and tell them you need this immediately. I’m sorry, I don’t know if you are from the US or not, but in US my Dr has samples of Brexit and Trelegy available. Just ask for them. I asked my Pulmonologist for Trelegy , along with Brexit, so I could alternate them. That seemed to help me. It wouldn’t hurt to try. My Pulmonologist didn’t think it was an issue. Also, are you using nighttime oxygen? I have emphysema, probably end stage or close enough, that I use oxygen during sleep. It seems to be helping me especially in the mornings.

But personally, I would call again or drive over if it’s not inconvenient and ask for samples plus possibly a Trelegy prescription to alternate. You have to be your own advocate . This is not medical advice it’s just what is helping me for now. Wishing you the best

I was on trelegy I didn’t feel like it helped, my husband feels let’s see if I can get the approval for the new stuff, I have emphysema too and yes I have the oxygen in my room and portable,honestly i don’t think the portable one works as well as they show on tv, I was walking to my doctors office in his building and actually had to sit down thankfully there was a chair in the hallway,I did have catscan done last month but because I had mucus he said it was hard to see but will submit for the injection medication once a month, my mornings are my worst but by afternoon I can move a little more after the breztri and ohtuvayre, gotta say I was having breathing issues so he put me on the ohtuvayre and it was like a miracle drug I was breathing so much better then months later not so much, i started the process so I’ll see where it takes me
