Brain Aneurysms Surgery Success Stories

I'm 72 y.o. with a 5.2 saccular brain aneurysm, left ICA, (behind my left eye I believe), discovered in 2021. It was discovered during a routine MRI for non related migraines. I was told by a neurologist that it is in a location that is difficult to reach for surgery and told by the same surgeon she has had successes in endovascular surgery for aneurysms in this location. I was also told that it is the least worrisome of all brain aneurysms.
I moved and am seeing a new neurosurgeon this month for a 2nd opinion. Has anyone had successes with surgery with this type and location of aneurysm? If so, I would like to hear them.

I'm not sure of the location butI also had a brain aneurysm behind my left eye, it also had endovascular access, that made it very easy to operate (embolization), mine was fixed with a stent, but my brother who also had one had a coil (how they fix it varies on several factors, shape, location, etc). Embolizations have low risk and the recovery is almost like an outpatient surgery, I left the hospital the next day, unless you have an underlying condition that would bring some higher level of risk. Find a surgeon that has done many of these, they will also do an agiogram before to map the exact location, shape and plan the surgery. The Embolization is very similar to the angiogram, a catheter that is inserted through the groin and gets to the spot in your brain, but the catheter to fix the aneurym of course has the instruments to actually fix it. Good luck and wish you the best!!!
