cooper78, you might ask for a prescription for either Forteo or Tymlos. In my opinion they build the best most integrated and stongest bone. If you were to experience side effects with one, you might try the other. The medication clears your system in 24 hours. They both, incidentally, improve joint cartilage.

This makes sense because I started to get low thyroid after I quit taking HRT.

Thank you for the information.

Any thoughts on Reclast?

You might try taking a good bone broth supplement every day and check out natural supplements for estrogen. Consumer Lab can help with these, and they grade the supplements as to which they approve. I think I'll sign up with Consumer Lab again so I can give more advice as to what to use. I get my estrogen from Women's International Pharmacy. I've had two bad falls, and have not had a broken bone.

Have you seen an Endocrinologist? That is where you will get a serious discussion on your options. There is a risk benefit for all things. Falls with broken bones can be fatal for seniors

Got some info from Consumer Lab:
Mediterranean diet
Magnesium
Bone Broth: Jarrow or Pacifica Ancient: Chicken base
Blueberries - a cup a day
Soy: tofu---If into baking, I make a cheese cake with no cheese. Use "Tofu & Goat Milk yogurt
instead.
