Boehringer Ingelheim AIRTIVITY clinical trial

Thanks @scoop. I signed up to find out if I am eligible for the Phase III trial - my pulmonologist was telling me about it last week, a colleague of hers is the principle. I think my clinic is one of the test sites.

I've never commented before and only recently found this group. I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis 5 years ago and had a recent flare up . I signed up to find out if I am eligible however I don't see a trial in Denver so that would be a draw back. Interested in learning more about trials and other peoples experiences.

Sue you posted it a few days ago. There is phase III trial for a new drug with Boehringer. I contacted them and I am expecting a call today. Did you learn anything new about this trial and the company? Is it safe? I emailed my pulmonologist but she did not get back to me. Thanks

I did receive a call today and completed the preregistration. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and the Chicago site is not ready yet to enroll volunteers for the trial. I was informed I will be called when they are set to go.

I also recieved a call from Boehringer and pre-registered. My home hospital University of Vermont is not listed as a trial site, but is listed as a “Center of Excellence” for BE. I go south (Florida) in the Winter months and get treatment at Mayo Jax, which is a trial site. I asked the question if I could participate and have a cooperative and coordinated effort from both hospitals depending on where I am at that time for monitoring/follow-up. The lady that registered me didn’t know the answer, but registered me anyway as I told her I possibly could fly to Jacksonville every 2-3 months for the required follow up appointment. I also let my Pulmonologist at Mayo Clinic know and he messaged me back and stated that he forwarded my name to the clinical trials team. 🤞🤞🤞. Does anyone know if this medication Artivity is the same or similar to Brensocatib?

Thank you scoop. I preregistered today but will receive the call from the Chicago site with more information about the drug and the process when they are ready to participate in the phase three study.

With the preregistration they actually don’t give you more information than that the trial is up to 18 months, every month a meeting/ phone call from the site and every 3 months a check up at the site and that you will receive another phone call when they are ready to contact you.
