Blood Thickened During Long Covid

Posted by 2tnt @2tnt, Feb 4 5:34am

My blood does not act the same since having covid long haul. I don't really bleed. After needles are pulled out from blood draws, I don't bleed. I get cuts and scrapes, the blood doesn't flow. I heal properly though. Anyone else experience this?

I know that a long covid (LC) symptom for some people is microclots, changes in blood chemistry. With LC it seems everyone is different. It would be good to check with your doctor on this; blood clotting is important to vascular health and easily managed. Being dehydrated can change coagulation, as can natural and medicinal blood thinners (various foods, aspirin, warfarin). It is good to drink enough water, and not try thinners without a doctor (most have some side effects, like hard on GI tract, excessive bleeding, food interactions).

Thank you so much for the valuable information. I went through triple therapy and am still on blood thinners. However, my blood is still thick. My doctor is suspecting I may have a blood clotting disorder. Thanks again for your feedback.
