Big Thank you...

I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my 'on the fence post' all of your input and shared experience's made me think and feel a lot more confident in my decision to pursue the possibilities Mayo may offer. I asked my current care team to send a copy of my medical records to the transplant team for a second opinion. I will be on pins and needles waiting to hear if they will take me as a patient or not. Fingers and toes crossed.

I'm so glad that you were able to make your decision, and it sounds like you are at peace with it.
Thankfully, Mayo was interested enough to ask for the records, and, so, I'm hoping you'll get some good news. I, too, know from experience that pins and needles feeling while waiting for news. I am at peace with my decision, doing what is best for me. I did not think of that! I just assumed that Mayo asked for everyone's medical records. thank you for all your support it means so much.

Even though I was on the list from 2013-2019 but was removed because my MELD score went to 10...thankfully. I was still on the fence about going back on it and it's a tough choice to make. This group helped me too and I'm back at the Mayo AZ where I belong and it feels like I never left. I was welcomed back with open arms and they never pass judgment onto their patients, they just want to help you get the best care you can get. Good luck, you should be fine. Hugs, Kelly
