Best methods to remove arterial plaque in the neck arteries

Posted by rtclovesmac2 @rtclovesmac2, 1 day ago

I’ve just been told both neck aeries are 69% blocked.

What is the best way to remove the plaque and what are the best ways to keep it from returning

Only surgery. There is nothing you can do or take that will remove it. As for preventing further accumulation, the same rules for cholesterol apply: dietary changes to sharply reduce saturated fat, and possibly medication.

By no means am I a medical professional so please take my comments as from my experience only. In 2019, I slipped on black ice and significantly fractured 7 ribs. The E/R Dr was blown away that these injuries were caused from a fall. He said I was more than likely that I was osteoporosis. After a week in the hospital, I started researching bone loss, calcium, and the like. That when I discovered covered the health benefits of vitamin K2 and its ability to divert calcium from arteries to bone and teeth. In 2021 I got a heart scan. My score was pretty low but the Dr advised me to get another in 3-4 years. I did get another last summer and, when the tech came out with the results he started off by stating he had never seen this before. He said my score decreased by 40%. He asked what I was doing. I wasn’t exercising then and the only thing I could come up with is K2. (With MK7). There are cardiologists who state they put all their patients who exhibit any signs of atherosclerosis on K2 with MK7. I highly recommend a book titled Vitamin K2 and the calcium paradox. It explains the benefits much better than I can.
Good luck.

Reducing your already-low score via K2 is not the same as someone with 69% blockage.

Wholeheartedly agree, but it might be a small step in the right direction.

Sorry to hear that 69% is significant, but manageable. Best approach is to follow your doctor's advice, focus on a heart-healthy diet, exercise, and possibly medications like statins to help reduce and stabilize plaque.

csrb,

To be clear, are you talking about your CAC score going down? Or, another metric? Or neck artery score? What were the beginning and last numbers?

REPLY

Correct, my beginning score was 12 and it decreased to between 6 & 8…from the tech’s statement,
