You tips for Best (fast and cheap!) nebulizer with easy replacements

Posted by liz440 @liz440, Jul 2 8:31am

I can't find reusable sidestream replacements online for my philips respironics nebulizer and medicare only gives me 1 every 6 months and I need minimum 2 for cleaning drying etc. There are so many threads about nebulizers etc I don't know where to begin. Can someone please give me a simple nebulizer and mouthpiece suggestion. Thanks

I have been using ombra A for the last year and it works well plus it’s compatible with any nebulize. I use it for saline 7% and used for albuterol Budesonide. It costs 123 something like that. But you can buy parts without problems. I am also planning to buy a travel one but from the post here it could be pari track (portable( this one is expensive with a battery and the battery warranty is only 6 months) or Vios portable. probably will go with Vios rechargeable battery( few years warranty). Yes there are so many.

Liz there is also a cheaper one MedLine which I used at the beginning of my illness and it was from my insurance. Takes longer to nebulize but also pretty good. It’s small and light and also compatible with any nebulize system. I still use it when I go somewhere and take it just in case.

@liz440 I order my supplies on line and have preferred this one dmfor a long time. Unfortunately a search today shows this is discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a similar one you could contact Home Medical or Just Nebulizers on their website for advice on a similar unit. Make sure to specify reusable

thanks everyone. What I found out after lots of googling is that many of the cups will fit the nebulizer I already have (philips innospire respironics) so I bought the PARI LC Sprint Reusable Nebulizer with 6 Foot Tubing for free shipping price $15.95. from some place called cpapxchange. This will work with the aerobika also. I called my medicare company and they said they will send me 1 reusable one like I had before every 6 months and I was due for a new one so now I will have two (the one they send does not fit the aerobika) and I understand the whole situation much better now. All these different names were really confusing me LOL. Now I get it! I really don't need a new unit at all. The issue was that the cups are no longer available anywhere online but since I can use the Pari LC sprint I will be in good shape and can buy as many as I want! Thanks everyone

I use Omron comp AIR NE-C 801. Happy with it. I can buy accessories/parts from amazon. 🙂

I also use the Omron AIR NE-C801 compressor. I’m not a fan-it is VERY slow and would not work with Aero eclipse. Monaghan said AeroEclipse takes 16 psi and this has 15-thought it might be too close.
I may just be expecting too much. It’s my first nebulizer and was the only one I could find locally when I returned from Mayo. I didn’t want to wait for an order and have been considering a new one.
