Benzo withdrawal

Hello i've been using clonazepam for 4 months 0.75mg , 0.25mg morning and 0.5mg at night for anxiety, im so afraid of withdrawal and tapering symptoms. Any positive vibes please?

I don’t think you’re in withdrawals. I would suspect it’s the problem for which you started taking the benzo in the first place. You only took 12-14 Ativan total.

I have only taken about 10 Ativan recently followed by 4 Klonopin from my primary doc. Both were .5 mg. And taken once daily at night. My sleeping improved but my anxiety got much worse. Now I have gone 3 days without any and I feel as if I am in a major withdrawal! Is this even possible?! Nausea, no sleeping, lack of appetite Do any professionals answer this blog? My primary doc doesn’t think it is withdrawal but it sure feels like it to me.

My wife, takes temazepam, and I'm tracking, for her, how many mg's are in her system at any given hour, and when, for her, the mg in her system are around 25 to 35 mg's, she gets NAU, and sometimes gets DRY HEAVES. The nauseous feeling, that's being generated in her brain, is the withdrawal from the TEM, and it has made her loose her appetite, who can eat if you feel nauseous. This issue began when she "discovered" the temazepam worked, to put her to sleep, much better on an empty stomach... that's when the nausea began, about 15-17 hours after taking the TEM. She knows that the nausea is being caused from the TEM, BECAUSE when she took the TEM, WHICH WAS DURING THE DAY, THE NAUSEA WENT AWAY, INSTANTLY. Sadly, for her, this behavior caused her to use more TEM than was perscribed and she would run out several days before the prescription would be refilled. The crazy thing is that when she took the TEM after eating, the nausea wasn't near as intense, but still annoying... so she began eating small meals, which helped lessen the intensity of the nausea. But, then depression hits her, all hope of getting better goes away, and we end up starting over, again and again. I hope this helps. Oh, and her dr, the psychiatrist, doesn't believe her either regarding NAU as a withdrawal side effect from TEM.

I made the mistake of not tapering off Ativan. I had severe audio and visual hallucinations for about 3 days. I’d recommend detox in a hospital. Withdrawal was a b**ch!

When my wife asked for a different sleeping pill, her dr advised her that temazepam is all he recommends... she's been on it for years... and she keeps trying to lower the dose... but each month, she runs out a day or two before the Rx can be refilled. Sadly she knows she's got a huge problem, but is not ready to commit herself to a full detox, at a facility offering in-house care or as an out-patient. It's very frustrating.

You really don’t want to go to detox when discontinuing a benzodiazepine. The detox center will basically cold turkey and send you home. It’s imperative you taper off a benzodiazepine slowly. Please do some research on this before committing to detox. Google the Ashton Manual. Read the whole thing.

You really don’t want to go to detox when discontinuing a benzodiazepine. The detox center will basically cold turkey and send you home. It’s imperative you taper off a benzodiazepine slowly. Please do some research on this before committing to detox. Google the Ashton Manual. Read the whole thing.

Thank you, I will not consider any detox center, especially if that's what is done. Thank you again. And, yes I have read, and reread the Ashton Manual, and hope that her doctor will use use this method to help.
