Benign carcinoid tumor in bronchi tube
Hi I've been diagnosed with a benign typical carcinoid tumor in my bronchi tube in right lung was found when I went to A&E with pneumonia back in July of this year I've had 2 bronchoscopys 2 biopys which showed benign carcinoid tumor I was sent for ct scan mri scan and pet scan pet scan was clear I was put under general anesthetic as my lung specialist said he might be able to remove tumor by going down my throat instead of haven surgery but didn't work but he was able to take 40% of tumor out as it was blocking my air way that's how pneumonia set in the 40% he removed also came back benign carcinoid 1 lymph node was removed and checked also clear now I need surgery to remove the rest I'm so confused as doctor said its a benign tumor then Google is telling me it's a low grade cancerous tumor but doctor nor lung specialist said anything about cancer just said its benign doesnt benign mean non cancerous and can any one tell me how surgery went thank you bless you all xx

@nannybb yes because of homelessness but the majority is young people just stuck in addiction yes also here u see alot of tents set up in the city along the quays most of the people I went to school with are in addiction my sister is in addiction from a really young age not because of her up bringing as we had a really good child hood but mostly because of the people she has been around growing up like friends now she's 29 and still addicted to drugs we had her in 4 treatment centres since covid hit and she just walked out didn't want help so we can't help her unless she wants to help herself
@nannybb are u planning on going back to work in the future
@jessie1990 Man, I can't even imagine all you have been through. I had to look up Paracetamol. It's your name for what we call Tylenol. At this point in time, I am taking two 3 times a day. It takes the edge off. The really sharp pains have gotten better with the acupuncture. I still feel like I have a brick in my chest where they actually took the tumor out. There were 5 holes altogether, made by Mr. Robot. 😂
@jessie1990 I have to work. There is only me to look after me. My son helps a bit, but he has a regular job, and he is a volunteer fireman. I've had a roommate for about 6 years and that has helped. But we are parting at the end of Jan. That has multiplied my anxiety...I don't know, 200% (?) If insurance does not come through soon, I may have to go back to work in my present condition.
@jessie1990 How very sad for her, as well as your family. I'm sorry.
@jessie1990 My surgeon admitted when he actually went in to operate, the tumor had shrunk. He thought it was from the biopsy. He went ahead (obviously) with the operation and the lymph node removal. I just wonder if he had done one more scan beforehand, and saw that it was smaller, if he would have waited. 🤷♀️
@jessie1990 You may have to ask for something if they do not initially just offer it to you while you are waiting to go to the OR.
I have had about 11 operations in my lifetime, but this one really had me worried. I think part of it was because I had a funny feeling about the surgeon. I didn't know the pulmonary doctor either. He was not the one I had researched and requested.
@jessie1990 lol...looks like the young people have anger management problems. Kinda scary.
@jessie1990 The 5 lymph nodes were clear. Hallelujah. I was tremendously thankful for that.
@nannybb so weird how we have different names joys of living in different parts of the world can I ask how long you were in hospital for
