Bariactric surgery complications
My daughter had the surgery three years ago and has been on a decline ever since, she can’t walk or use her hands or even talk anymore. She is severely malnourished, she has a TPN that just makes her more sick and she can’t even eat food anymore since she’s gotten the port. We have been to doctors and the hospital for help and they just say her blood works fine there’s nothing we can do. We need help as soon as possible, I don’t think her regular doctor can help
If some could please help me save my daughter ❤️

I'm so sorry for your situation. If you have seen other doctors, I can't offer any additional advice. I will pray for a speedy resolution.
The best dr I know is Dr Bessler. Columbia Presbyterian in NYC
I will pray for you both. Have you tried an endocrinologist, she really needs her labs checked. I hope you get some answers and soon
I've been declining the same as your daughter. I had same issues. No one would take me on once they reviewed med records, surgeon mistakes, and risks of my complications. I had to have a j tube placed 2 weeks ago due to severe malnutrition, malabsorption and body rejecting nutrients, starting to attack itself.
I found an amazing surgeon willing to take me on, knew exactly how to give me a quality of life opportunity, he got in and had to removed remaining part of stomach and esophagus, pulling up my intestines to my throat. He's in missouri. Dr james scott.
How long before you found him after your surgery, it’s been 4 years since my daughter surgery and she only weights 95 pounds. I don’t feel like she could go through a surgery like that right now. Right from the beginning after the surgery I knew something wasn’t right because they were sending her to the emergency room for ice bags for hydration and then she had to have her gallbladder out 8 months later because she lost the weight so rapidly. It doesn’t matter what we tried she wasn’t absorbing any nutrients for her body. She has no muscle or fat remaining and we still can’t get anyone to help her.

Has the surgery helped you? My daughter can’t walk or use her arms anymore. They are considering a feeding tube. I’m so heartbroken for her, she was perfectly healthy before the surgery
I so appreciate your help
