B12 too high?

Posted by siouxzan71 @siouxzan71, May 17, 2024

I’ve been a laryngectomee for 24 years . I have Graves Disease, no thyroid, fibromyalgia, connective tissue disease, COPD, & osteoporosis. Now my Dr is concerned about my B12 level. It’s 2000. It’s been that since 2021. She doesn’t know what’s causing it. Any ideas will help. Thanks!

Thank you for thar comment! i am continuing to take large doses of b12, 5000, but sometimes 2500 mcg, or I feel terribly weak, tired, and out of breath. Have been to many doctors, for 3 years and finally diagnosed myself. I will try now to go and dig further into this.

5,000 sublingually once per week is more than enough. It's my dose and my 2X yearly bloodwork shows it to be way, way above normal. I am a vegetarian, so it's not coming from meat.
The body can only use so much B12, all the rest is waste.
