Have you used Ativan long-term for sleep? Had to change dose?
I currently use .75mg of Ativan for sleep every other night. I was using Lunesta for the alternating nights but the side-effects concern me and so I don’t want to use it anymore.
Has anyone used Ativan for years without having to go up in dosage and it continued to work? Thanks

I have used other types of benzodiazepines for a couple of decades, and had to get off in the last year. I quit drinking September of 2023 and the Xanax had to go next. It seemed such a low dosage, but my body was reacting negatively to it. My Psychiatrist helped me, and now I have much less anxiety 😀🤗😀

3 Reactions@worthy No, I was on it for a couple of decades and it began to affect my nerves in a very negative way. My Psychiatrist helped me get off of the benzodiazepines & it was like getting off 40 years of Alcohol. We did it though. The damage and the seizures were not worth it. Please, You can do it…

1 ReactionPropranolol is a good substitute for Xanax. It's supposedly non-addictive. Check with your doc.
