Ascending aortic aneurysm

I just saw my cardiologist. He said it is highly unlikely I will ever need open heart surgery. My aneurysm is 4.1. It started at 4.0.
He said if I keep my blood prsssure down and cholesterol down along with 150 minutes per week of cardio I will be okay and it is unlikely to grow to 5.5 when they would need to do surgery. I am soooo relieved !

That is wonderful to hear. May I ask your age? My ascending thoracity or an aneurysm is 5.0. My age is 75. I was diagnosed with 4.9 cm and 2022 and at this point until my next scan in June I presuming it's 5.0 still at least hoping so! Thank you

I am 69. I have another CT scan in June.
