Are support hose recommended for peripheral vascular disease ?

I will be traveling and sitting for long periods; are support hose recommend if I have a blocked femoral artery?

I also have a blocked (70%) femoral artery from a heart cath injury
and now PAD in that leg. I have the same question. I usually wear compression socks due to POTS, but recently my cardiologist suggested compression tights but said to check with the vascular surgeon, but I'm not sure about traveling. Sometimes there is conflicting information
