aquablation and retro ejaculation

Posted by anonymous342 @anonymous342, Jan 30 9:35am

I had aquablation 6 weeks ago and have since experienced retrograde ejaculation. The doctor said I would ejaculate after the procedure but the volume would be less. I can feel it build up but nothong comes out so I now have retrograde ejaculation. The doctor claims I am his first patient to complain about this. BS.... My question to everyone does this ever improve over time or am I doomed with this for life. I also have burning in prostate area and urethra sometimes worse than other times. I assume I'm still healing maybe?

Right now I've been dealing with repeated URI s that don't want to go away.
I still need protection, especially over night.
Took a CT scan which showed a small round thing floating in my bladder, attached to a thin string, or whatever.
My prostate is still huge despite the aquablation.
Something is causing the UTI and preventing me from completely emptying my bladder, which causes the need for repeat toilet visits too frequently.
I began peeing into a clear plastic cup, and notice some wispy white or light gray substance floating in the urine.
Because I have no choice, I will submit to a cystoscopy next week. Doc says I must be awake for that procedure. (I can't begin to guess why)
Currently, before looking inside with the cystoscopy, he strongly suspects the aquablation didn't do the trick, and I will soon need TURP.
I am not a satisfied customer.

I can't imagine why the prostate is still large after the surgery.

Hi @arbytee,

I just wanted to check in on how you are doing? Have your symptoms improved at all over the past week or so? I'd also like to invite @djr59, @jgman, @dm2473, and @nuggetnyc back to the conversation to see if they have improved over more time or if they had any thoughts to share with you.

Thank you for checking. Please do invite the others to join.
No more bruising. Yahoo! RE still there. Intermittent pink urine still. A little pain w urination especially at the end still, but not too bad. I’ll be a month from surgery on April 19th.

You are doomed. It had been six months since my aquablation. I still have the retro. Im only 51. So yeah. I regret the procedure. I would not recommend this surgery to anyone. I have had a horrible recovery
