Anyone on both Nucala and Xolair?

New to this group so thank you in advance. I have asthma, ABPA and have had MAC. Xolair has helped the past 6 years but I haven't been able to taper down on prednisone ( 15 mgs ) . My pulmonologist suggests adding in Nucala. Wondering if anyone else has been on both, for what reason, and if it has made a difference. Thank you!!!

Nucala has been a game changer for me! Monthly for 3 yrs.
I have asthma not born with it but
16 plus years on Spiriva, Symbicort preventative asthma inhalers and generic singular.
Not sure what your other meds, and stated conditions (initials you have. )

I was on Dupixent and was switched to Nucala. My docs have never suggested adding another biologic and I’ve not heard of anyone taking 2 at the same time.

Having one biologic has really helped me by eliminating my exacerbations (used to have 1-6/yr for 20+ years). It has also raised my resting O2 saturation rate and slightly improved my PFTs.

I've taken mepolizumab (Nucala), as well, and it's helped tremendously to use my Albuterol much less and hardly ever need a round of prednisone.

I was actually put on mepolizumab (Nucala) after trying to get on omalizumab (Xolair) twice, and twice not qualifying by quite a bit. My aunt has had great success on it, and she's wanted me to try it for years.

I've not heard of this double biologics, either. Is this a newer protocol to take both omalizumab (Xolair) and mepolizumab (Nucala)? Are you leaning toward "yes" or "no" on proceeding with taking both biologics right now?
