I have my first appointment with the head surgeon of endocrinology at UofM on Dec. 18th. Right now it looks as though they will be removing my thyroid and any lymph nodes they may need taken out.

Why did you have two surgeries after the first one?
I’ve was diagnosed with MRC two months ago… no surgery yet:(

The head surgeon of endocrinology at a university hospital sounds like a great choice.

If you care to share more, @trosborn21, what type of symptoms were you having that led to this diagnosis? Did it take a long time to get diagnosed?

I had surgery for medullary cancer. It was a modified, radical neck resection. Are you scheduled for surgery?
