metermaidman,
I can tell you the experience that my husband had. He goes to the dermatologist every 3 months because he has many precancerous lesions frozen and he has had a couple of basal cell cancerous lesions. At one of his 3-month checkups the doctor recommended Moh's surgery for a squamous cell cancer. The cancer was quite deep and left a noticeable indentation in his head. I was shocked at how deep this cancer grew. We could not tell by looking that this was such a large cancer. I am so glad that we got him in for surgery right away. I realize that all cancers can be different, but I know that in my husband's case this was a very serious cancer. Does your doctor recommend surgery? If so, I think you should do whatever is recommended.

Thanks for your note. I am supposed to see some specialists, but don`t know when that will happen. I`m a Vietnam vet so I`m doing this through the VA system, and with all the cutbacks that Trump is doing I don`t know when I`ll get approved. I`m trying to get some medicated gels or creams that will help.
Ok, Thanks for your note. I`m not sure what will happen for the surgery as I have some basal skin cancer too, and hope that I can use some medicated gels or creams for the basal skin issue.
metermaidman, surgery can resolve squamous cell cancer and there are different types of creams.
