Anyone have experience with treatments for urge Incontinence?

Does anyone have experience using Mirabegron for urinary urge incontinence? I'm considering it for a long-term issue, but only if it doesn't cause or worsen cognitive issues.

Hi Chris - we also have had a great PCP for many years. I just hope that he won't retire while I still need him. Specialists always want to do what they specialize in. Family docs seem to have a broader vision about what you need so I always like to run things past our PCP.

I really like your final sentence "May you be safe, protected, and free of inner and outer harm." I think I'll use that in my Holiday Greeting cards. Vicki

Sadly after two weeks of staying dry the incontinence returned even though I have been on Myrbetric the entire time (since end of July). Now I only have problems at night some nights but not all. Not sure what makes the difference. Seeing urologist again on the 9th of November. Hoping for a better solution.

Hi , i noticed it’s been awhile since you posted your last post on taking myrbetriq ,are you still taking it . If so do you have any ongoing side effects ? I have just started and i take it at night as i think it makes me dizzy if i take it during the day . Thanks 😊🇨🇦

I had to quit taking Myrbetric because it was ineffective for me. I now take Trospium which is 100% effective. I notice no side effects with it. Hope you get your med worked out. I was told to take it at 7:30 pm if my biggest problem with leakage was at night which it was. Good luck.

I have been taking Trospium for two years. My Dr suggested I try taking it every other day and I did try it. It caused me to get up 4-5 times in the night. Taking it every night I only have to get up one time. At age 79 I need as much sleep as I can get. Best wishes to you.

I do take it about 7:30 pm per doctor's recommendation. She said if I had leakage problems at night to do that if not you could take it in the morning. I do experience dry mouth but I sleep on CPAP machine and take other meds that can cause it as well. I tried Xyl melts but they caused sores in my mouth. I now use Biotene spray and/or a Biotene dry mouth lozenge with no problems.
